Panama World Competition for Radobot

Exciting proof that the trauma based robotics therapy program is working for Ukrainian children has arrived. The Ukrainian “Radobot” team was invited to participate in the World Robotic Competition in November 2023 in the Republic of Panama.
Two of our key female Radobot competitors have had to go through hell to evacuate from their Russian occupied cities in Eastern Ukraine. They and their families have been displaced by the war and are forced to resettled in a new place and begin their lives from scratch. One of them is from the town where the Zaporizhya nuclear power plant is located, a recent target that Russia uses to promote regional and global nuclear insecurity.
BUT NOW THEY ARE WINNERS! Now these strong and resilient Ukrainian children have the opportunity to go to the world class competition in Panama and represent Ukraine! From the traumas of the battlefield and losing everything they ever knew, Radobot and the robotics therapy program has given these children new skills and ways to process all that has happened to them.
Imagine how opportunities like regional, national and world competitions will help them move forward in their lives, when so many others can only hold firm to the victimization. Imagine how Radobot is changing their future. Imagine the impact this can have have on ALL Radobot clubs as the other children are inspired by their success and resilience! Imagine the amazing impact this might have for Ukraine as together we prepare this next generation of Ukrainians to rebuild our country and their lives.
When Radobot decided to participate in the All-Ukrainian robotics competition, we had no idea this would launch onto the global stage. Our vision for combining a trauma healing curriculum with job skills training like computer coding and robotics has been validated to help these children and our dream is coming true.
As we wait for additional details on the World Robotics Competition in Panama, we ask that you be thinking of ways to encourage and support these children.
